Susrijo Institute of Agricultural Science, Technology and Management (SIASTM) is a dynamic organization whose primary focus is Skill Development, Knowledge Development, and Youth Development. As India is known as an agricultural country, a vast community, directly or indirectly, depends on it. Therefore Agriculture in India is the livelihood for a majority of the population and can never be underestimated.
Increasing population, increasing average income, and globalization effects in India will increase demand for quantity, quality food with variety. Other industries may face recession or a slowdown but agriculture can never fall prey because “FOOD” is the basic necessity for life.
In fact, the advancement in technology, research, and progress in innovation has multiplied the scope of agriculture in a big way. But the global technological scenario is changing at a very rapid pace, which has challenged SIASTM to offer programmes that are in tune with the changing needs of the day. We have tried to meet that challenge with sustained efforts to enhance our academic curriculum and course offerings, at the same time maintaining our core mission, values, and ethics.
The college provides full support to improve student’s communication skills, critical thinking abilities, moral values, and sense of responsibility. All the courses are designed with the latest industrial oriented academic curriculum, where students can find an internship, laboratory practical, field training, and job placements in different organizations.
