The institute is under the management of Susrijo Charitable Trust. The Trust is duly registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882 (2 of 1882) & Income Tax Act, 1961. Susrijo Charitable Trust is registered under Govt. of West Bengal. It has also received grant exemption u/s 80G(5) (VI) of Income Tax Act 1961 and registration u/s 12AA of I.T. Act 1961.

Prof. (Dr.) Manik Gopal Som M.Sc., Ph.D., FISVS Hon’ble Ex-Vice Chancellor Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya Basically India is an agricultural country with a present population of 135 crores. In 2025 it is expected to be 140 crores. As a result of which the cultivable land is also being reduced due to the ever increasing population. Therefore, applications of modern agricultural technologies are then only means by which the productivity and total food production can be achieved to feed the huge population of our country. In order to achieve this, workers equipped with the latest advanced agricultural technologies will be required. In pursuance of the above felt need, Susrijo Institute of Agricultural Science, Technology and Management (SIASTM), affiliated to the University of Kalyani, West Bengal has come up with two new Diploma courses in agricultural science namely, 1. Diploma in Agricultural Science and Management. (eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent) 2. Post-graduate Diploma in Crop Production and Plant Health Management. Apart from day scholars, students who are willing to reside here may avail hostels. There are separate hostel facilities for Boys and Girls. Hostels are out campus but very near to the Institute.
