Post-Graduate Diploma in Crop Production and Plant Health Management (PGDCPPHM)
Agriculture plays a vital role in our economy. The impact of agriculture is not only focusing on the production of food grains, vegetables and fruits, but on so many agriculture dependent industries that get their raw material and knowledge support from the agriculture sector. SIASTM offering two years full-time Post Graduate Diploma Course in Agriculture (PGDCPPHM).
After completing this Post-Graduate Diploma Course, we help the student to get employment directly in a supervisory capacity to start within an agri-based business corporate. After completing this course and with some experience, students can start up their own businesses like agriculture farms, agriculture products shops, agro-based industry, plant health clinic etc.
Course Structure :
Duration: Two Years
Eligibility: Graduate of any stream.
Course Structure: The courses including Bridge courses and internship course are distributed into 4 (four) semesters. To have the Post-Graduate diploma meaningful, few Bridge Courses are being offered to get basic knowledge of Agriculture with relation to its Botany, Soil Science, Concept of maintaining Plant Health-Entomology, Plant Pathology, Nematology and Agricultural Meteorology and Agricultural Statistics.
Examination: Examinations will be conducted by the University of Kalyani. After completion of the course marksheet & certificate will be issued by the University of Kalyani.
