The library is one of the most important place of any institute. The library isn't just a place of books or a source of information, which both students and teachers broadly use, but the prime function of the library is to execute, enrich and support the educational program of the institute. It is a fundamental need of every academic and research institute.
In advanced education, the library is not only discharging proper delivery of scientific, academic and research data but, also plays an intrinsic role in the modernization of infrastructure with innovative Information and Communication Technology (ICT) gadgets for adequate delivery of computerized digital information to users.
SIASTM has a spacious well-established, centrally air-conditioned library with books, journals, magazines, employment news, and a mammoth collection of agricultural-related information useful for references and additional information to students related to agriculture.
Since its inception, the library is serving to update the knowledge of teachers, students and staff members of the institute to keep them informed about the field of their interest. With seating capacity at a time of 60 students, the library has a unique collection of about 1600 hardbound books of various disciplines of Agricultural sciences and 2750 e-books and 2800-3000 e-journals of international and national repute.
The aim of the library is to provide rich knowledge in a congenial environment to our students and to extend its’ facility further through information technology, automation and networking.
