OTHER FACILITIES
This institute has one Students Centre in which different types of academic, cultural and social activities are undertaken by the students of the university on various occasions. This college is equipped with Wi-Fi system for the use of students for their academics as well as research work.
Some of the other facilities in the institute are as follows.
Boarding Facility (Hostel)
The institute provides accommodation to the students who are admitted to various courses. There are separate hostel facilities for boys and girls which are located outside the campus but very near to the institute. A member from the college committee is assigned to work as the nodal of each hostel. Every hostel has been provided with common room, colour TV, visitor room, indoor games and the court for outdoor games. The Hostel Cafeteria is equipped with refrigerator, Fresh drinking water, LPG Cooking. Each Hostel is run and managed by the college authority through Hostel Supervisory Committee. Ragging is strictly prohibited in hostel premises. All students residing in the Hostels are to abide by Hostel Rules and Regulations.
Sports/ Games
The management is involved in catering to the need for regular games and sports activities for the students in all the Colleges. It is organized Annual Inter-College Tournaments of the University. There are proper range of indoor & outdoor activities. There is vast open ground for outdoor activities. This perfect blend of learning and co-learning activities ensures all-round grooming of every students.
Scholarship / Finance assistant
We believe that the right opportunity for the right talent can change lives. With this vision, we have different types of scholarship facility which is designed to extend financial assistance to students aspiring to fulfill their dreams and pursue higher studies. We also helps students with information to avail study loan.
Common Room
College has separate common room for both Girls and Boys. Each rooms are spacious and airy. They have various indoor game facilities. Magazines and newspapers are also arranged in the common room for recreation of students.
CCTV Surveillance
In today’s world, security is an increasing priority for educational institutions. The college has installed CCTV Surveillance System in different strategic locations.
Physical Education
The Institute lays a great emphasis on the role of games and sports to keep the students physically efficient, mentally alert, morally sound and socially well behaved.
The college has a large area of land for Outdoor games. Not only that, the college is provided with Indoor games also, which is furnished with a gymnasium as well to enhance the physical fitness of the students and faculty.
Gymnasium
The college is furnished with a state-of- the-art fitness center, designed exclusively for the students. The gymnasium provides a great way to remain fit and stay motivated.
Seminar Room
This facility is meant for organizing seminar, workshop, special lecture and cultural activities. This room is equipped with audio-visual facilities and other amenities.
Computer Center
We firmly believe that the overall development and knowledge enhancement for a student is possible only after adequate exposure to information technology. To avail this the Institute has an air-conditioned computer lab which is fully equipped with adequate number of terminals with the latest configuration and internet facility. Sufficient time is allotted to give an optimum lab exposure to the students. Individual attention is given to every student.
Agricultural fields / Firms
There is a vast agricultural Farm attached with the Institute to undergo field practical. Besides SIASTM has MOUs with other nurseries and related organizations to conduct open - field practical.
Canteen
The canteen is the best loved place in the college & is the right place to take a break between the lectures. The college has a spacious canteen facility. A variety of food and delish snack items are provided to the students and staff of the college with the highest quality.
Mineral Water (RO)
The college has its own mineral water (RO) facility in the college campus. The entire college is supplied with mineral water from the plant. It is easily accessible by the students and all other staff. During summer cold, fresh and pure drinking water is provided to the students and staff. It is to ensure that the students and staffs of the College remain hydrated during scorching heat along with sound health. Proper repair and replacement are done to ensure pure and safe drinking water for all. As a healthy practice only pure and fresh water is allowed for cooking in the College canteen and also in students’ hostel.
Social and Cultural Activities
Cultural and social activeness not only help students to identify themselves but also boost students to grow themselves in the desired field and also upgrades skills such as organizational, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal communication.
The Institute encourages all extra-curricular activities that are both in line with the educational objectives of the institution and meet the needs of the students. The college provides a platform where diverse perspectives, cultures and values are accepted, appreciated and celebrated. College authority celebrates a spectrum of festivities... from Independence Day, Republic Day, Saraswati Puja, Women's Day, Teacher's day to college Foundation Day. Institute also celebrates the colour of Basant Utsav, Holi, Diwali and also the grandeur of Christmas, I’d, Gurunanak Jayanti...to name a few. Placement and Counselling Cells
A crucial aspect of any institute is its placement & counseling activities. Considering this, a vibrant and successful Counselling & Placement Cell has been created for the overall development of the students through creating job opportunities for them. Medical Facilities
The institute is having its health centre on campus. A medical officer is available to the students and the staff members. The primary job of a medical officer is to provide medical advice and treats small and temporary illnesses. However, in serious cases and long-term illness, the students are admitted to the Govt. hospital and their parents are informed for further management.
